Top Three World Class Cebu Hotels

Disclaimer: Reviews quoted here are from tripadvisor.com. I do not intend to duplicate any content for marketing purposes.

I came up with this post because I have only but one post about accommodation, and that was the “Top 3 Hotels in Davao for Romeo in Juliets,” which was posted on Valentine’s Day this year.

What I’m going to give you this time are the first class Cebu hotels. This is, again, based on research since I haven’t yet stayed in one of these hotels to give you a review, and realistically I don’t think that I can even step a foot in one of these hotels. Only in my dreams. hehe.:-)

But based on the majority of reviews I’ve read from tripadvisor.com, it certainly proves that these Cebu hotels are on the top list when it comes to world class accomodation. Hotels that can match up other first class hotels in the world. So here are the top three world class hotels in Cebu:

Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa

Hilton Cebu is located in Mactan, Cebu, right on the seaside of the Mactan Island. As the name itself, Hilton is commonly known as one of the greatest hotels in the world. 100% customer service satisfaction, excellent amenities and facilities. The resort itself is a heavenly experience. Here are one of the customers reviews of this hotel from tripadvisor.com:

“I have stayed at the Hilton Cebu on many occasions and I must say that the quality of amenities and services have not in any way change my perception of the greatness one expects from a Hilton hotel, simply the best.” Divethrills from Canada

Shangri La Mactan Resort and Spa

Shangri La Mactan is simply a dream accommodation for any traveler. Erecting just along the long stretch of the Mactan island’s seashore, Shangri La Mactan is sure to be blissful experience for those who love the sun, the white sand, and the sea breeze. With all the exceptional services and amenities, Shangri La Mactan is a resort that a guest will surely keep on coming back. Here is one review of one satisfied customer from China who had stayed in Shangri La Mactan:

We stayed at the Shangri-La Mactan during Chinese New Year. CNY is a high travel time in the region (mainland China and Hong Kong especially), so the resort was packed. That said, the only time we felt crowded was at the buffet, but even that was manageable. Upon arrival we were greeted by the sounds of the lounge band and the taste of fresh mango juice while we checked in and received information on the daily activities and amenities – great way to start our 7 day stay!” –Jendan22 from Shanghai, China

Cebu City Marriot Hotel

This high-rising hotel near the Ayala Center is the most prefered hotel to most business travelers because of the excellent security, great service, comfortable rooms, the food, the entertainment, and the perfect location, which is very accessible to the business centers establishments in Cebu.

“Marriott Hotel Cebu City: Other than being a very good looking place to stay from the outside, the very first thing I noticed about the Marriott was that they take security very seriously. Security: There is a gate at the street where taxis must stop for inspection. The guards there obtain the taxis driver’s I.D. card, they inspect the trunk and also underneath the vehicle with mirrors. We were cleared for entry, and taxi then drove up to the front doors of the lobby. Upon entry, we also had to send our luggage through a scanner there in the lobby. We also had to walk through a metal detector at the door. It was comforting to know that the Marriott had all these security measures in place to insure guest safety. And believe me, everyone from the very beginning of our arrival at the Marriott treated us like King & Queen of the world.” — Flynster of Cleveland, Ohio

thanks for the list. i can’t believe why plantation bay isn’t part of it.

it has gotten a lot of nods from prestigious bodies such as conde nast, etc.

    guess tripadvisor missed that one.
