Cebu Pacific Passengers Gone Mad

I didn’t plan to post about Cebu Pacific today. I’ve decided to write about it after searching the keyword Cebu Pacific from Google. I was astonished to discover that Jehzlau Concepts’ post is number 2 behind Cebu Pacific Air official website.

Well, half astonished, I would say, because I know that my blogmate’s personal blog is popular on the Web. So, it’s not surprising that Jehzlau’s post “The Cheapest and the Most Unsecured Airline Company” is first page, number 2, on Google’s search results for the keyword Cebu Pacific. The surprising thing was Jehzlau’s experience on that post, written on 2009, which has 486 comments from readers. It wasn’t what I had expected.

Jehzlau’s experience made me think twice of flying back again with this airline company. I’ve been flying with this airline two times a year for 5 years now since I arrived in Cebu. And so far I never had a bad experience with it. There was only a time when the plane took an hour and thirty minutes on air when it was supposed to land in Cebu 55 minutes after it took off from Davao. You can read the post by clicking this link: Scary Experience.

The most interesting thing about Jehzlau’s post was the lost checked baggage. It was the argument whether the lost baggage was due to the airline’s negligence or the airport terminal’s. I don’t know if each baggage is the airline’s lookout after it is delivered to it’s destination safely, or whether it’s the airport terminal’s security’s to take care of those checked baggages for claim at the baggage section.

In my opinion, I think both entities should be held responsible for the lost because they work together to make passengers satisfied on their flights, to give service way beyond customers’ expectations. Read Jehzlau’s post about his bad experience with Cebu Pacific here.

As I’ve said I never had any bad experience with Cebu Pacific flying with it since 2007, at least not yet. I never had an issue about my checked baggage. The customer service was okay. Flight crew was just fine. No complains whatsoever. This is the reason why I always choose this airline whenever I travel to Cebu. Besides it’s affordable, the service is good.

I didn’t realize that Cebu Pacific have had so many complains about their customer service, the security, and plane’s reliability, other than the fact that it has a history of plane crash in February 2, 1998, killing all 104 passengers on board.

Most of the passengers complains are about its customer service and delayed flights, or even canceled flights. Many of which are from bloggers themselves who had these kinds of issues. One of them was The Marketman, author of marketmanila.com. Marketman had gone completely irritated after having several disgusting experiences with Cebu Pacific including customer service, delayed flights, online reservations, and credit cards issues. And yet for a well-educated and reputable blogger like Marketman, Cebu Pacific should give attention to it.

Another one was Yuga of Yugatech, also had unpleasant experience with the company; some online reservations, and customer service. Here is Yuga Tech’s post: Failed e-Ticketing.

Others are authors of blogs like Pinoy Tux, Mailyn Shari, Panic Queen, Epinions, Life in Cebu, Markku Seguerra, Lattex, Marghil Macuha, Aileen Apolo, Adishree Aishwarya, and one contributor from Trip Advisor.

Not to include hundreds, if not thousands, of readers who commented on those blog posts, people who have had nightmares with Cebu Pacific.

Even disgusted passengers offline who have not shared their experiences yet or those who are not yet heard. Who knows? Maybe you also had one. You can share it by leaving on the comment box below.

Whereas for me, there is nothing horrible experience yet to share about when it comes to Cebu Pacific. I’ve been flying for about 10 times already since 2007 with this company and it has been good so far.

Perhaps on my next flight with Cebu Pacific I might have a bad experience. We never know. I guess it’s something to rant about, as those quite a huge number of bloggers on the World Wide Web.

Same here.I never had bad experience with Cebu PAcific. Perhaps it’s the terminal’s responsibility about the lost baggage. yay. :-(

i’ve experienced delays and cancellation of flights but i got notified on that cancellation way early so I was able to make immediate changes. other than these, I’m still quite happy with cebu pacific. :) I can’t really trust other budget airlines and PAL is famous for pilot strikes..
