One reader named New Waver in Marikina placed a link on my post called New Wave Quiz Contest. The link is about a post that tells a news about Morrissey to play in Japan, and has some plans to play in the Philippines.
I checked Google for other sources and yes indeed, Morrissey, the ex-singer of The Smiths, has plans to tour the Philippines. So there is no exact date yet when the show will take place. But for sure Morissey is going to perform in Japan in April. Other countries he is set to perform for his tour are Thailand and New Zealand. Sources said that Morrissey is also set to play in Australia.
Ahh, what can I say? I’m speechless. My favorite new wave artist will finally perform in the Philippines. Hai, sana matuloy! And I just hope, I just really really hope they will play in Cebu too. Hai. Another concert journey na naman ito! Rakrakan na naman to! Parang yung Wild Swans! Astig! Pacensya nah; di ko mapigilan mag Tagalog eh. Biruin mo, ang pinaka sikat at pinaka paborito kong new wave artist nung dekada 80 at 90 ay tutugtog sa Pilipinas. ha! O ano? laban? hehehe. Kahit matanda na siya, astig pa rin siya. hehe.:-)
Ito po yung nakasulat galing sa isang blog magazine tungkol kai Morrisey na nabasa ko:
“Morrissey will travel to Japan in April where he will undertake ten concerts. It will be the most detailed tour of Japan ever undertaken by Morrissey. There are plans to follow the Japanese tour with concerts in Thailand, the Philippines and New Zealand.”
EMI will also release Sparks’s rendition and remix of Suedehead. This record are available in CDs and 10-inch vinyl disc with rare pictures of no other than the ever ever great Morrissey.
Kaya sa mga lahat ng mga new wavers, mga bakla bakla-an, sa mga bakla na ayaw pang mag ladlad, o ano, mag ladlad na kayo! Hahaha! Biro lang po mga kaibigan. Eh kasi bakla si Morrissey eh. Just goes to show my whats-hot radar needs hard-core fine tuning. Although I’m not really familiar with his songs and/or performances, Morrissey sure sounds like some talented artist. For your sake and his other fans, I do hope he performs in the Philippines!
